Travelling Head Person / Travelling Groom / Driver

Richard Hughes is looking to recruit a Travelling Head Person to join his top quality team. There is the opportunity to for one person to take on this role and full responsibility, however we are aware of the demanding nature of this role and would therefore be open to two people to work together, sharing the role on a rota basis to allow more free time. There will be opportunities to go racing both in the UK and abroad. Excellent opportunities to expand in role and progress, with a dedicated member of the team solely dedicated to staff welfare and training.

Ideally riding out and/or yard work would run alongside the travelling role. Including upkeep of the lorry, racing tack, colours, washing, mane pulling and clipping. However we would consider a driver on a part time basis.

Competitive Salary. Each week all hours over 40 are paid at the overtime rate of time and a half. Annual income approximately £40,000 per annum includes Racing Overtime, Winner bonus', pool money, owners money and regular staff treats such as breakfasts, pizza, curry and BBQ nights. 

Single accommodation is available on site for those in full time employment. Own apartment within the hostel with a double bed, en-suite shower room, kitchen area (microwave, fridge, sink, toaster and kettle), sitting area with TV and wardrobe space. Shared facilities include a larger kitchen and clothes washing machines.
