THE ROLE:

• To oversee the Events Sales & Accounts team ensuring daily and weekly targets are maintained and motivation is kept to a maximum.

• Oversee delivery of commercial income from new business & existing business revenue sources – Events & catering income. Demonstrate ROI and budget management.

• Drive strategy development, budgeting, and resourcing of team

• Manage each revenue stream and implement a clear strategy to achieve sales targets

• Ensure a strong sales pipeline is created, managed, and analysed

• Manage & communicate quarterly reforecasting numbers to SESM

• Work with SESM to identify new revenue streams across all sales channels • To be responsible for bottom-up budget development as part of annual budgeting process for all new & existing client business. • Responsible for managing the Events Sales & Accounts team, developing a business plan covering sales, revenue and expense controls, meeting agreed targets, and promoting the organisation’s presence primarily throughout the UK.

• Proactively driving the Sales Engine to ensure the team are living and breathing its values and virtues

• To manage and develop Events Sales & Accounts team through effective delegation, coaching and mentoring

• To use the Sales Engine to amplify the teams’ sales performance and to empower individuals to manage their own performance rather than being a drain on management time.

• Evolve and develop the Sales Engine over time by accurately capturing and reflecting observed behaviours, processes and activities that prove to be successful at Ascot.

• To manage the sales administration function, operational performance reporting for Events Sales & Accounts team, streamlining processes and systems wherever possible, and advising Senior Events Sales Manager on maximising business relationships and creating an environment where customer service can flourish.

• Aided by Senior Events Sales Manager, responsible for recruitment, direction, organisation and control of Events Sales Executives & Events Account Executives to accomplish specific objectives.

• Ensure that all sales representative activities are in accordance with the guidelines of ARL Code of Conduct. IDEAL CANDIDATE: The desired candidate should be able to demonstrate experience in managing, mentoring & coaching individuals. Can demonstrate success in leading a sales team to achieve and exceed targets. Competence with Microsoft packages (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and a Customer Relations Management system.
