Work Rider

Nick Alexander is looking for a good rider with experience of riding work on racehorses, you will be expected to ride four lots per day riding work regularly and depending on experience may be required to school horses over obstacles. You will also have 3 or 4 horses to look after on the yard.  You will benefit from the support of our in-house coaches and the Regional Development team. 

If you have ambitions to hold a Licence, there is the opportunity for the yard to support you in doing that either as a Conditional or Amateur jockey.  You will benefit from regular coaching from the industry’s Jockey Training Team.

Hours – 7am until 1pm and 3.30pm until 5.30pm five days per week, plus one five hour Sunday in four.

Remuneration – dependant on experience.

Holidays – 32 days paid holiday per annum.
