Trainee OB Engineer

Do you love watching sports and horse racing in particular? Would you love to help us provide that exciting footage to a top standard? We need new Trainee OB Engineers to work on live sports Outside Broadcasts at racecourses nationwide.

You should have good technical knowledge with qualifications in broadcast engineering or electronic engineering and some experience of the OB environment would be desirable. However, a keenness to learn, enquiring mind, flexible approach and a love of solving technical problems is more important than direct experience as training will be ongoing. With strong IT and communication skills, you must be able to work under limited supervision in a high pressure environment. You must also be prepared to travel regularly and to work evenings, weekends and Bank Holidays. A driving licence is essential and we will also offer training for an HGV licence.

We have vacancies at these operational bases: Newcastle in the North; Leicester in the Midlands; and Raynes Park, Lingfield or Chelmsford in the South. You will be expected to reside within a 30-minute drive of your chosen base.
