A Chairperson is being sought in the next exciting stage of Together for Racing International (TfRI) - an initiative to promote education, community engagement and career opportunities that connect people with the thoroughbred industry worldwide.

TfRI was established following the successful Godolphin Global Education Forum, held in Newmarket in 2019. It was created to assist racing globally to contribute to society by improving the lives of its people and communities. An international steering group has been driving forward activity since and now charitable status is being pursued.

TfRI’s purpose is to:

  • Support member nations in managing the global challenges to the sustainability of horseracing

Its ambitions are to:

  • Identify the global challenges the industry faces Support member nations to develop creative solutions to local challenges Celebrate success and let the world know what is being achieved

The Chair will hold the Board and Executive Team to account for the organisation’s purpose and ambition, providing inclusive leadership to the Board of Trustees, ensuring that each Trustee fulfils their duties and responsibilities for the effective governance of the organisation. This is an exciting time to join TfRI as it establishes itself and delivers its three-year strategy. The charity will develop its role and influence to make a positive difference to the sport and stakeholders, both human and equine, across the globe, helping to enhance horseracing’s social licence. As well as having a broad business background (and an interest in horseracing), candidates will have a strong understanding of the horseracing industry globally, an ability to build stakeholder interest and leverage financial support.
