The British Horseracing Authority (BHA) is the governing and regulatory body for horseracing in Great Britain. It is the BHA’s role to act for and on behalf of the whole sport, with a key objective being to ensure the highest standards apply on and away from the racecourse.

The BHA is looking to recruit a temporary Business Analyst reporting into the Head of Raceday Officials. Working collaboratively with the Raceday team schedulers, the Business Analyst will lead a review of the current scheduling process, including assessing the current scheduling system and producing recommendations with a subsequent implementation plan. The role will be responsible for identifying scheduling efficiencies to allow greater work life balance and resiliency across the Raceday teams.

We are looking for a confident communicator who has excellent analytical skills with a methodical and logical approach to identifying problems and improvements. Your experience is likely to have come from a business analyst background, coupled with proven databasing experience and a sound understanding of scheduling processes and systems ideally obtained from a sporting environment.

To be successful in this role, you will be a self-starter who has a ‘can do’ approach to identifying and coordinating business process changes. You will be comfortable liaising with stakeholders and challenging day-to-day operational activities to drive process change and efficiencies. You will be able to work independently with minimum supervision and have excellent planning and administrative skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritise to deliver results to deadlines.

We acknowledge that having a diverse and inclusive workforce is fundamental to our success and we actively encourage and welcome applications from candidates of diverse cultures, perspectives, and experiences. People with disabilities or from ethnically diverse communities are currently underrepresented in the organisation and therefore we welcome these candidates to apply.

Further details can be found in the Job Description here.

Please apply by completing the Application Form here, only candidates who have applied via the application form will be considered. The closing date for applications is Sunday 26 June 2022.
