Godolphin is the world’s largest global thoroughbred breeding operation and horseracing team. Today Team Godolphin spans across four continents, from our home in Dubai to Europe, Australia, Japan, and America. Founded in Dubai in 1992, the operation has been built on a foundation of innovation and uninhibited achievement that has led to a legacy of success for horses in Godolphin’s famous blue silks. Its global headquarters is in Newmarket, which is the epicentre of the UK’s thoroughbred industry.
Godolphin is seeking to recruit 2 dedicated and passionate Stud Hands. Reporting to the Stud Groom, the job holders will be responsible for horse care and stud maintenance.
The care and welfare of thoroughbred breeding stock, including:
• Handling of mares/foals/youngstock
• Mucking out
• Assisting the vet/farrier
High standard stud maintenance, including:
• Paddock maintenance
• Machinery operation and maintenance
• Hedge trimming
• Lawn mowing
Skills, Knowledge and Qualifications
• Stud experience
• Knowledge and understanding of thoroughbreds and breeding
• Good communication skills
• Enthusiasm – this role will suit someone with a great attitude who wants to learn
