Data Protection Lawyer

The British Horseracing Authority (BHA) is the governing and regulatory body for horseracing in Great Britain. It is the BHA’s role to act for and on behalf of the whole sport, with a key objective being to ensure the highest standards apply on and away from the racecourse.

The BHA Legal and Governance Team is seeking an experienced lawyer to join the team as our dedicated data protection lawyer.

This is an exciting, hybrid- based, flexible opportunity for a mid-level to senior lawyer from a private practice or in-house background. You will need to have an in- depth knowledge of contract and data protection law and experience of providing pragmatic legal advice across a business. You will be comfortable with working independently and taking the initiative based on risk assessment and prioritising the things that matter the most. You will be able to see the big picture and establish new systems and processes as well as understanding the important details. You will need to be a great communicator with internal and external stakeholders.

Where capacity allows, we would welcome assistance with the wider commercial workload of the team.
