Assistant Equine Yard Supervisor (Part Time)
The National Horseracing College seeks to appoint a number of part-time Assistant Yard Supervisors to work four days per week on a rota. You will be responsible for the care and welfare of our horses which support the delivery of our learning programmes and also the supervision of those learning horse and racehorse care on our college programmes.
The successful applicant will have demonstrated experience of working with horses, and hold a Level 1 diploma in horse care as a minimum, a Lantra agricultural tractor driving licence with trailed implements and loader. However, training will be provided for successful candidates with strong experience who are prepared to work towards these qualifications.
As a successful applicant, you must have a willingness to work with young people who will present challenging behaviours, which at times can be stressful
The hours of work are 30 per week, including weekend working, the shift pattern is a semi-flexible four out of seven days with weekend cover on a rota; working not less than an average of one complete weekend in three.
Earliest start time is 7.00, latest finish time is 7.00pm.
The salary is £15,600, per annum with a contributory pension scheme. An initial holiday entitlement of 25-days plus Bank Holidays, and Life Assurance (2x salary).
