The British Horseracing Authority (BHA) is the governing and regulatory body for horseracing in Great Britain. It is the BHA’s role to act for and on behalf of the whole sport, with a key objective being to ensure the highest standards apply on and away from the racecourse.

The BHA is looking to recruit a Head of Programme Delivery reporting into the Director of Strategy and Change. This is a new role that is responsible for ensuring alignment and delivery of cross industry programmes. The role will lead and develop capability and capacity of programme teams within the BHA to deliver cross industry programmes in line with the project governance framework and standards defined by this role. This includes leading BHA’s engagement with and implementation of the existing Racing Digital programme - a new technology product that will revolutionise the way British Racing is administered and enable a more digitally and customer focused organisation.

To be successful in this role, you will be a credible leader and change agent who has previous experience of working at a senior level, leading and delivering people, process and systems transformation programmes in a complex environment with multiple stakeholder groups. You will be experienced in working with senior stakeholders to translate strategy into delivery through plans, programmes, people and culture, using your detailed understanding of change management strategies and techniques.

We are looking for an exceptional communicator who is able to convey a compelling and engaging vision for change and build effective, collaborative and productive relationships with stakeholders across the BHA and racing industry to deliver cross industry programmes. You will have a sound understanding of corporate governance principles and demonstrable knowledge of racing and its stakeholder landscape.
