Data product support analyst – (Office based)
Job description
TurfTrax Limited manufactures, installs, and maintains data driven electronic devices at customer locations across the world. This hardware provides automated data feeds to a cloud-based hub database and websites using a software as a service (SAAS) model. The company’s products include the TurfTrax GoingStick, Going Mapping System and WeatherTrax and EquiTrax.
The company’s clients include Ascot racecourse, Arena Racing Company, The Jockey Club, ITV racing, Breeders Cup Inc., The Australian Turf Club, Chelsea Football Club, Dubai Racing Club, France Galop, German Racing, Godolphin, Hong Kong Jockey Club, Racing Victoria, Racing Queensland.
TurfTrax is now seeking an enthusiastic individual to join our team based in St Neot’s Cambridgeshire form where they will help provide support to our customers in the UK and overseas.
The Role
This is an exciting and varied role in a company that will be expanding in the next 18-24 months. Reporting to the Operations Manager, the successful candidate will assist with monitoring, analysis and supporting the customer experience for all products and services.
Key Tasks
Review, automate, analyse, and improve current manual data processes.
Production and distribution of ‘Going Maps’ using a bespoke web-based application
Monitoring live data feeds
Data analysis and reporting
Improve financial reporting processes using Xero Updating social media accounts e.g., @TurfTrax twitter
Providing general admin support to other members of staff
Handling telephone enquiries and providing first line customer support
Other duties as required
Key Skills
Full training will be provided but the successful candidate will be expected to demonstrate some of the following skills.
Strong IT Analytical skills are essential with a strong knowledge and experience of managing databases, and experience of Excel, VBA is essential.
Ability to use Adobe Illustrator or similar graphics packages
Previous experience of Xero or similar cloud-based accounting software Discipline in maintaining very high standards of quality
The ability to be work to tight deadlines and multitask
The ability to work unsupervised after instruction
An excellent telephone manner and people skills
Some interest, knowledge or previous work experience in the horse racing industry or sports data industry maybe beneficial but is not essential.
Normal hours of work will be 8 hours per day (exclusive of lunch break) 5 days per week. You will also be required to undertake scheduled work at weekends and on public holidays and will be given Time Off in Lieu in return for additional hours worked.
The starting salary will be in the range of £22,000 to £25,000 depending on experience. A company pension scheme is provided.
Holiday entitlement is 20 days plus bank holidays
A laptop and mobile phone will be provided.
