Experienced Second Person

Competent second person wanted to join busy small team at a Breeding Stud and Veterinary Centre in Gloucestershire working under the Stud Manager. You will be required to assist the Stud Manager by overseeing the day to day running of the yard ensuring that stable and yard duties, routine care of donor mares, broodmares and recipient mares, monitoring and reporting any lameness, sickness or problems, horse care, yard, field and general maintenance are being completed to the required standards. Must be able to work well within a team. Good leadership and communication skills are essential as well as a high level of equine experience and knowledge. Must be competent handling stallions, young stock and all type of horses and be able to lead by example with high levels of horse care and management. 7.5t licence a bonus.
