One Team: National Conference & Events Sales Executive

 

Location: Exeter Racecourse

 

Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday

 

Contract: Permanent

 

 

 

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Conferencing & Events Sales Executive to join us at Exeter Racecourse to proactively drive sales within the West region.

 

 

 

Role Summary

 

 

 

Based at Exeter racecourse, you will be responsible for achieving and exceeding targeted Conference and Events sales. This will be achieved through targeting new commercial customers and sectors, whilst ensuring strong levels of repeat business through successful account management.

 

 

 

Excellent communication and rapport building abilities are essential as you will be required to meet and correspond with all potential clients, showing them round the racecourse facilities where necessary.

 

Key responsibilities within this role will be;

 

 

 

  • to identify and target new commercial customers and sectors to achieve business targets through proactive sales, including generating and attending client meetings to grow business from the existing customer base to meet targets, ensuring strong levels of repeat business responsible for meeting and corresponding with all potential clients, handling and converting incoming enquiries and contracting bookings to provide accurate weekly sales and activity reports

Other skills and experience required are, but are not limited to:

 

 

 

  • experience of working within a Conference & Events sales role within the leisure, travel or hotel industry experience of being successful in a sales and target driven environment proven success in sales negotiation experience in new business development and account management excellent communications skills, both written and verbal evidence of your ability to prioritise and meet deadlines excellent attention to detail and organisational skills

 

 

Travel between Regions will be required so it is essential that the successful candidate holds a full driving licence and has access to a vehicle.

 

 

 

This role will also involve working evenings and weekends to support racing, conference and events as and when required.
