Jockeys Valet

Main Duties
   A Jockey's valets role is to prepare the Jockeys equipment  before a race. As some jockeys' ride for a number of different owners & trainers on a race day this will involve ensuring that the right silks are ready and that boots and breeches are clean and presentable as well as making sure there the correct weight before presenting themselves at the clerk of scales. 

- travel to the days race meeting, if 2 day meeting or 2 meetings close to each other maybe stay in hotel over night.
  - Pre race set out the jockey's breeches and boots in the weighroom making sure they are clean and ready for racing;
- Assign racing silks to jockeys for each race;
- Repeat as needed depending on the number of rides the jockey has;
- Wipe down saddles, polish boots and wash breeches, polo neck & other bits of equipment  ready for the next race meeting;
- At the end of the race meeting, once equipment is clean, gather all the equipment together ready to be transported to the next race meeting;
