The Hilton Garden Inn at Doncaster Racecourse have a very exciting opportunity for an experienced Hotel Operations Manager to join the team. Opened in 2018 and located in the heart of Doncaster the purpose-built Hilton Garden Inn became integral to Doncaster Racecourse, part of Arena Racing Company (ARC). Doncaster Racecourse is a unique venue welcoming over 225,000 visitors to 36 racedays delivering an exhilarating mix of horse racing, live music and fantastic social days out.

About the role:

As the Hotel Operations Manager you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth day to day running of all hotel operations in accordance with Hilton Garden Inn brand standards, customer service expectations and the hotel business plan.

The role will also be required to work closely with the Doncaster Racecourse Management Team to ensure that standards and ideas for innovation are shared throughout the venue and to maximise the potential performance of the hotel through collaborative working. 

The Hotel Operations Manager will effectively manage all Heads of Department with direct line management responsibility for our Food & Beverage Managers & Supervisors, Duty Managers and Reception Management team. Ideally with a branded hotel background, over 2 years’ experience in a similar hotel leadership position. 

The person we are looking for as a Hotel Operations Manager has…..

  • Experience within a similar type of hotel property with a depth of both Front Office and Food & Beverage experience and knowledge
  • You will have a vibrant personality with excellent people, leadership and organization skills - someone with hospitality at the heart of everything they do.
  • Proven track record of success in achieving revenue and service objectives.
  • Proven ability to recruit, motivate and train a team of professionals
  • Excellent written communication skills, sufficient to produce communications that properly reflect the Hilton Brand.
  • Excellent oral communication and presentation skills.
  • Considerable ability to listen effectively.
  • Ability to delegate, organize projects and establish priorities consistent with company objectives.
