Track Work Rider / Stable Hand

Amazing opportunity to combine working in the thoroughbred racing and breeding industry with travel around the beautiful country of New Zealand.

We are looking for an experienced track work rider to join our small in form breeding and racing farm from January 2023 (Summer in New Zealand)  You will be employed on a Working Holiday Visa for a minimum period of 6 months up to 2 years (will depend on country you are from as to how long you are able to work and also how long you would like to staysee https://www.immigration.govt.nz/new-zealand-visas/options/work/thinking-about-coming-to-new-zealand-to-work/working-holiday-visa for conditions and eligible countries. Note max age for the NZ working Holiday Visa is 35 years (30 for some countries)

Accommodation provided along with a long weekend  (3.5  days) off every fortnight to allow for travel around our stunning country. Approximately 36 hours/week. 

Would prefer applicant from an equestrian background as horses recieve cross training in dressage (based on biomechanics based principles) and jumping along with varied work on the beach/hill farm, forest, at equestrian facilities to complement their work at the track but training can be provided to right applicant.

Stable work includes feeding, cleaning stables, and farm maintenance, handling of young-stock also attending races and sales as required.
