About the role:

We are looking for an enthusiastic, hands on and highly motivated person with a strong track record of delivery in driving admissions and ticket revenue to join the regional business unit of ARC. This is a fantastic opportunity to take ownership of local marketing plans and local spend to impact strongly on regional business unit performance. 

ARC operates a hybrid “central/local” model to ensure full local level accountability whilst optimizing the use of central experts in key functions (data/CRM/digital/content). Accountability for results (and therefore the plans) rests with the Regional Marketing Manager, however the role will be required to work closely with central marketing colleagues to achieve optimum plans and execution.

Responsibilities

  • Development, execution, review and ongoing fine-tuning of the regional marketing plans for business unit racecourses to achieve budgeted ticketing volume and revenue.
  • Develop /deploy local level activity plan to drive local presence/visibility
  • Development/execution of appropriate raceday customer journey plans (offer/experience) to drive experience and retention. Deploy centrally-developed offers/experiential activity as appropriate.
  • Ongoing content management of racecourse-specific websites for up-to-date and engaging websites. Work closely with central digital team to optimize CRO plans for website conversion.
  • Ongoing content management of racecourse-specific social channels to drive engagement and conversion. Work closely with group content manager to refine social strategy and optimize social channel engagement.
  • Monitor/respond to racecourse and raceday-specific customer comments to ensure customer satisfaction.

The person we are looking for as a Regional Marketing Manager has…..

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent level of experience, marketing qualification preferred.
  • Minimum 4 years’ experience within a similar marketing role in a highly customer-focused and brand-led business.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the horse racing industry and ticket or hospitality-based business is preferred.
  • Clear demonstration of experience and skill in brand/offer development
  • Experience of working across an organisation to deliver results through operator-driven businesses
  • Excellent strategic thinking and creative skills.
  • Strong influencing skills to drive plans through multiple racecourses and achieve desired execution
  • Plan, manage and deliver complex projects.
  • Excellent time management/communication skills, with the ability to work under pressure.
  • Excellent writing and technology skills, with a good understanding of modern marketing techniques and systems.

Please Note- This role is office based and can be from at either Doncaster, Royal Windsor or Newcastle Racecourse.
