We have a rare opportunity for a Junior Web Developer to join our small and friendly team. Working closely with the Head of Governance and Digital, and fellow colleagues, the successful candidate will play a key role in the development, maintenance, and support of the organisation’s suite of bespoke business applications. This is an exciting opportunity to have a real and valued impact at the heart of a unique organisation that plays a key role in funding British horseracing.

You will need:

  • Proven experience or education in application development
  • Effective understanding of PHP, HTML, CSS and JavaScript
  • Understanding of object oriented development and MVC frameworks
  • Knowledge of relational databases and SQL
  • An ability to understand and navigate VBA script
  • Be aware of modern development methods
  • Good organisational, problem solving and time management skills
  • Good communication and team working skills
