If successful you will form part of our race day safety and security team, acting as the eyes and ears of the event through supervision of your designated area, and above all, providing a level of guest experience people can’t help but recommend.

Working as a Spectator Safety Supervisor you will be responsible for: 

  • Assist the safety officer in taking responsibility for your designated area  

  • Manage staff deployment as per staff planner documentation  

  • Manage steward, SIA and guest experience hosts performance throughout 

  • Maintain public safety and prevent / reduce incidents of anti-social behaviour and disorder  

  • Deliver a detailed safety briefing to your allocated team  

  • Coaching and leading your team to meet the required safety standards at all times, whilst ensuring this does not affect the level of customer service provided  

 

The successful Spectator Safety Supervisor will have the following: 

  • A friendly, approachable, and professional manner 

  • Strong guest experience skills 

  • Ability to remain calm under pressure 

  • Previous experience in a similar supervisory role within racing, events or live sports 

  • This role requires a Level 3 Spectator Safety qualification (ideally you already hold this, if not you need to be willing to go through this training) 

 

Our rates of pay (All rates are inclusive of holiday pay - the below rates are in affect from 1st April 2023)

£16.81 (working towards L3 with us) 
£18.00 (Qualified L3 Spectator Safety Supervisor)  
£19.50 (Qualified L4 Spectator Safety) 
 
 
Shift availability 
Our shifts vary! You are in control of the hours you work via our staff app.  
Race days are typically 08:30-17:30, or 14:00-21:30 on evening meetings  
(Longer and shorter shifts also available)  

 

Join us in time to work at BOODLES MAY FESTIVAL 10th to 12th May 2023! Our biggest and best race meeting of the calendar year at Chester Racecourse. With 3 race days in a row this is a great chance to get lots of experience in the role and top up your wages!
