Track Work Riders - Sydney, Australia

Hawkes Racing is currently seeking an experienced rider to join our team in Sydney (Rosehill) or Melbourne (Flemington).

This is a rare and exciting opportunity to get involved with one of Australia’s leading stables.

ABOUT THE ROLE

• Exercise horses in slow work, timed gallops and barrier jump outs.
• Your hours of work will be 4:30am -7.30am (approx.)
• Monday to Saturday
• No mucking out
• Opportunity to ride seasoned racehorses competing at the highest levels of Australian racing and well-educated, quality young horses learning their craft.

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA

• Proven experience riding timed gallops, jump outs and educating young horses essential.
• Be reliable and punctual.
• Excellent horse handling skills.
• Be able to provide clear feedback to the Trainer in regard to horse performance.
• Be able to work in a team and independently.
