Work Rider

We have a vacancy available for a full time member of staff to join our team for next season!

The successful applicant must be able to ride well, have previous experience riding racehorses or fit competition horses and able to ride work to instructions upsides. The successful applicant will want to gain job satisfaction by getting the horses they ride to perform to the best of their ability on the racecourse. 

Duties for a full time position would include minimal yard work in the mornings. The usual ground duties have to be carried out during evening stables.  Racing expenses, workplace pension, 30 days paid holiday and percentage of pool money. 

We are trying to put a team in place to allow us to be flexible with time off. A minimum of one afternoon off a week after your weekend working is standard at this current time. I am also looking to find weekend staff in the hope that we can go to one in three weekends working. 

Housing can be provided, the cost of which will be reflected in the package depending on the ability of the successful candidate.
