Job title: Maintenance Operative - Plumber

Hours: 37.5 hours per week

About the role

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Plumber to join our growing Operations team at our Newmarket Racecourse. This role will need to have a full working knowledge of the current regulations with experience of plumbing and relevant approved practices and will play an essential role in supporting our compliance requirements.

The Plumber will

•Manage the draining down & reactivation of stables water.

•Maintenance of the toilets & washrooms as well as the plastic pipeworking system

•Assemble valves, fittings, tubes, and water system appliances.

•Install and maintain building water systems.

•Troubleshoot and fix issues relating to water supply lines.

•Repair and replace system issues such as clogged drains, faucet problems, broken drainage lines.

•Reactive jobs due to weather

•Oversite of Legionella works and testing.

•Large event preparation / overview

About you
  • Relevant Trade Qualification - NVQ3 or equivalent
  • IOSH Managing Safely or Working Safely
  • Gas Safe Registered (via ACS or alternative route - can be working towards)
  • Experience of plumbing works at sites
  • Excellent understanding of plumbing techniques and methods of installation and construction
  • Proficient in plumbing and manual equipment and measurement tools
