We require the services of a Bookkeeper/Payroll Clerk to work at one of the top racing yards in the UK, located in the south of England.
Applicants will ideally have knowledge and experience gained from within the racing industry in a similar role or have the desire and ability to learn on the job. Applicants will be required to work to deadlines, have strong IT skills and be able to adapt within and contribute to, our very busy office environment, which includes but is not limited to answering telephones, dealing with general enquiries etc. Experience with Sage accounting and payroll packages is desirable.
The position will involve all aspects of the payroll process, including pension, HR, calculation of employee overtime and racing expenses, HMRC submissions & journals. The bookkeeping extends to running the purchase ledger & bank reconciliations.
