Travelling Person

Somerville Lodge is recruiting a Travelling Person to join our team. Candidates will manage the care of our horses and staff whilst to travelling to the races and at the racecourses themselves. A thorough knowledge of travelling horses and racecourse protocols are required as well as good horse and people skills.

Candidates will be required to manage staff, communicate with officials, owners, carry out trainer’s instructions, as well as representing William Haggas at the races when required. We are looking for individuals with a strong work ethic who are also reliable and attentive.

Competitive salary and bonuses available.

Accommodation available. Candidates would be available to start anytime before 1st January.

Riders preferable, but not necessary.
