Senior Insights Analyst

Role Purpose

To develop and deliver trusted racing industry insights by analysing data sets, extracting meaningful conclusions and identifying opportunities to positively impact Irish racing.  The Senior Insights Analyst will have a strong focus on innovation and a keen interest in racing.

Reporting to: Head of Racing & Insights

The responsibilities & competencies required for the role of Senior Insights Analyst are as follows:

• A skilled analyst who develops and drives the design of meaningful KPIs, dashboards, scorecards, reports, visualisation and presentations to enable effective decision making
• Set up processes to make data analysis more efficient, and create systems which assist with interpreting trends from data
• Work closely with colleagues with an understanding of the strategic objectives needed to convert insights into achievable and desired outcomes.
• Regularly evaluate the outcomes and results of implemented initiatives, assessing their impact on key metrics
• Respond to data-related queries with speed and accuracy
• Integrate research data and CRM data to provide business-led recommendations

Skills and experience

• Proven analytical experience
• Strong expertise in data analytics, statistical modelling and data visualisation techniques
• The ability to align analytical initiatives with business objectives  
• Degree in Maths, Statistics, Data Science, Data Analytics or related field
• Experience working with the following technologies:
• Data Visualisation (PowerBI)
• Database Query (TSQL)
• Database systems (MSSQL)
• Data Warehousing
• SSRS (SQL Server Reporting Services)
• Excel and Data Pivoting
• Strong and established verbal and written communication and presentation skills, including an ability to effectively communicate internally within an organisation and to external stakeholders
