Junior Lawyer (Commercial/ Governance)
Contract Type: Full-Time
Location: London, (Hybrid Flexibility)
Department: Legal, Governance & Business Partners
Grade: PM2
Salary: Range available on request
0-3 years PQE
The British Horseracing Authority (BHA) is the governing and regulatory body for horseracing in Great Britain. It is the BHA’s role to act for and on behalf of the whole sport, with a key objective being to ensure the highest standards apply on and away from the racecourse.
The BHA is seeking a junior lawyer to join the Legal and Governance team. This is an exciting, hybrid- based opportunity for a junior lawyer from a private practice or in-house background to join our team of three senior lawyers. You will need to have a “can-do” attitude to support the team with the wide and varied work that we cover. You will need to be highly organised with a good understanding of contract/ commercial law, a working knowledge of data protection law and bring sound judgement and analytical skills. You will need to be discreet, trustworthy and reliable, with the highest standards of integrity. An interest in horseracing is useful but not essential.
