Job title: Stud Hand (part-time)
Based at: The National Stud, Newmarket
Contract type: Fixed Term Contract
Hours: 15 hours per week, Mon-Fri 8am-1pm
About the role
We have a fantastic opportunity for two Stud Hands to join our Team at The National Stud
This role includes all aspects of horse care, and the successful candidates will have had experience in the handling of horses. You will have the opportunity to work with mares, foals and yearlings. The National Stud offers the opportunity for continual learning and development, with mentoring in the key areas needed for career progression.
Competitive salary offered dependent on experience.

The Stud Hand will
• Assist with all aspects of horse care and yard work including feeding and checking horses and
mucking out stables.
• Assist with the vet and farrier.
• Assist with the day-to-day care of mares, foals, and yearlings.
• Always comply with Health & Safety regulations and safe working practices.
About you
• Experience in handling horses.
• An Excellent communicator with great interpersonal skills
• Hold a Full driving licence.
• Great understanding of Health & Safety legislation
