About the role

We have a fantastic opportunity for an Event Manager to join our Kempton Park Operations team delivering in the planning, organisation, and presentation of all racedays and events.

The Event Manager will

• Lead the organisation and management of Kempton Park’s facilities and site operations in delivering racing and event’s needs exceeding customers’ expectations.

• Deliver events as a Duty Manager ensuring the running of events safely and efficiently.

• Improve operational profitability by controlling expenditure, create purchase orders and certifying invoices.

• Provide technical and logical site information to event leads on venue including layout plan and site visits.

• Collaborate with sales team to ensure seamless customer experience for C & E Events from hand over of booking to delivery.

• Communicate effectively with the wider operations team to ensure function room set ups to the highest standard.

• Support the delivery of security/stewarding schedules for racing and lead the race day casuals’ scheduling and administration.

• Ensure all necessary paperwork on race day and ticket scanning equipment is ready for use.

• Play an active role in all Health & Safety requirements, including communication of issues with colleagues, customers, and general management of safety management systems.

• Play an active role developing environmental awareness across the site along with the Jockey Club Sustainability executive.

• Co-ordinate with suppliers from set up to break down, handling queries, troubleshooting and delivering on-site orientation.

About you

• Experienced events professional with a passion for delivering a fantastic customer experience.

• Effective communicator comfortable influencing a varied range of stakeholders internally & externally .

• Financially savvy with experience in budgetary cost control.

• Thrives working in a fast paced, pressured commercial environment.

• Proactive team player confident taking responsibility with outstanding attention to detail.
