Shipping Executive Maternity Cover

Rapido Racing LTD is a Newmarket based Equine Logistics company, transporting horses by land, sea and air.  We are recruiting a Shipping Executive based in the administrative department for maternity cover, but there is potential for a permanent position for the right candidate.

Key responsibilities include the organisation of the importation and exportation of horses from the EU to the UK and UK to the EU, primarily Ireland. This includes arranging the Import customs & VAT.

Skills required

You will have excellent administrative and organisational skills, with the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.

You will have good IT and keyboards skills and be a competent user of MS Office applications.

You will be a good communicator, both written and verbal, with the ability to produce clear, concise, and accurate documentation.

You will be confident building and maintaining collaborative relationships with clients, racing yards, foreign agents, customs brokers & vets.

You will have a passion for providing excellent customer service, with good attention to detail and a flexible, confident, and proactive approach.

You will be a team player and assist colleagues during peaks and troughs learning other aspects of the business.

Experience of the Equine shipping and/ or racing industry is desirable but not essential. Salary to be negotiated based upon experience. Attractive package offered.

This position is to cover maternity leave with a full-time position available to the right candidate.
