The Assistant Head Grounds Person will

• Assist the Head Grounds Person in the production of the highest quality racing surface through turf management.

• Lead a motivated Grounds Team in a supervisory capacity and contractors to deliver a high standard across all areas.

• Be responsible for the maintenance, preparation, renovation, and repair of racing surfaces.

• Be responsible for the preparation and presentation of the fences, hurdles, and estates.

• Maintain and assist all grass areas and non-grass areas on site.

• Assist with the movement of and laying out of irrigation equipment.

About you

• Previous knowledge of turf care and management

• Strong team player with fantastic interpersonal and organisational skills

• Previous experience with the use of turf care machinery

• Self-motivated, work well under pressure and have an appetite for progression.

• You will have a basic working knowledge of Health & Safety and demonstrate a willingness to follow regulations.

• You will possess a full UK driving licence
