A position has become available for a full-time office administrator to join our friendly & supportive team at Tomlinson Equine, based near Tetbury. Tomlinson Equine is a vet practice and stud striving to provide excellent customer service across ambulatory and cutting-edge reproduction work.
The ideal candidate would be hard working, reliable, and willing to learn and adapt to an ever-changing environment. You will need to multitask, be able to prioritise your work accordingly, and have good computer knowledge, having proficient use of Microsoft office programs and the internet and be capable of learning new IT systems quickly.
The role would involve a range of administrative duties including, but not limited to, organising office operations and procedures, rota management and holiday bookings, health and safety, email monitoring, basic HR and general admin duties.
The office is often the first point of contact with clients, suppliers and other areas of the business; the role therefore requires quick decision-making and knowledge of all areas within the practice and the horses resident at the centre.
Key Requirements are:
- Thorough and accurate working methods with a high level of attention to detail
- Data entry & record keeping including knowledge of Excel spreadsheets
- Client communications both verbal & written
- Client invoicing, payments, queries & debtor chasing
- Orders, Deliveries & Purchase invoices
- Assisting Vets – eg. lab submissions, results processing, diary management, client communications, data entry
- Horse husbandry related matters (such as Admissions, Discharges and accurate recording keeping for resident horse farrier & worming etc)
- Excellent team player with strong communication skills and the ability to multi-task
- Social Media & Events Management
- Full training provided.
Due to the nature of the organisation, very occasional after hours/weekend work may be required, (with time off in lieu given).
Full time position 8:30 to 17:15 with half hour lunch, office based position. Salary commensurate with experience, opportunity for career progression within the business.
