Assistant Stud Groom

Northmore Stud are looking to recruit an Assistant Stud Groom to join our small friendly team. The applicant should be able to demonstrate good horsemanship skills having previously spent a significant amount of time working with mares, foals, weanlings and yearlings on a successful Stud Farm.

The duties will cover all aspects of work on a Thoroughbred Stud Farm and in particular experience of foaling as this is an essential part of the job.  Experience of Sales preparation also helpful. Enthusiasm, attention to detail, high standards of workmanship as well as an ability to work as part of a team are crucial attributes.

Previous experience of handling staff would be helpful. Applicant must be able to drive and have a clean licence and also be able to drive a small horsebox.

We also have a machine to help with the mucking out so saves a good deal of the hard work that normally goes with this type of work
