The Porter will
•Ensure all function rooms are set up as per customer requirements and to Jockey Club Venues’ standard.
•Maintain a high level of cleanliness and presentation in front of house and back house areas.
•Ensure that all rooms are tidy, and all equipment is in the correct position and working correctly.
•Assist the Operations & Events Executivein the daily operations of the department in accordance with the required departmental standards.
•Ensure every effort is made to meetguests’needs, with all comments and queries being actioned.
- Ensure that any faults or defects are reported to Operations Manager at the earliest possible opportunity.
- Ensure that all stock items are available and to raise an order when items are running low- e.g., Flipchart paper, pens etc.
- Have full knowledge of health and safety standards when setting up rooms and equipment.
About you
- An excellent communicator comfortable engaging with a wide range of stakeholders
- Passionate about delivering an outstanding customer experience.
- Confidently able to prioritise and meet deadlines.
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- Able to work under pressure and as part of a team.
• A good working knowledge of Health & Safety policies and procedures
•Capable of lifting and moving furniture
