The British Horseracing Authority (BHA) is the governing and regulatory body for horseracing in Great Britain. It is the BHA’s role to act for and on behalf of the whole sport, ensuring that the highest standards apply on and away from the racecourse. It is responsible for promoting, and regulating the sport, which is at the heart of a major leisure and entertainment sector, a leading betting product and the focus of an important breeding sector.
The Finance department have an exciting new opportunity to join their team and are looking to recruit an Industry Finance Projects Manager, reporting into the Chief Financial Officer.
You will be required to oversee all BHA led racing finance projects, as well as providing a proficient business partner service across the BHA Departments. This role will also include various additional responsibilities including becoming the dedicated finance representative with Racing Digital, supporting the CFO on all industry matters, as well as ad-hoc finance department support.
We are looking for an excellent communicator who is effective and efficient in planning and coordinating resources to deliver projects on time. Your experience is likely to have come from a project management background, ideally coupled with an understanding of the British horseracing industry and its stakeholders or other sports, betting and leisure industries.
To be successful in this role, you will be an effective team player and have experience of running multiple complex and cross-functional projects at any one time. You will be able to establish credibility and rapport with stakeholders across various business areas. You are a problem solver who can think creatively to provide effective solutions in a dynamic environment.
